Who does Private Resolve work for?

Private Resolve works with the individual who makes the enquiry. We provide independent negotiation support, do not decide who is right and cannot impose an outcome. Any participation by the other party is voluntary.

What does Private Resolve do?

Private Resolve offers consumer debt recovery and dispute resolution support for private individuals. The other party may be another person, sole trader or company. Suitability is checked before any work begins; no repayment or agreed outcome is guaranteed.

What if we reach an agreement?

The parties can record the points agreed in principle. Each side may then ask their own solicitor to review and formalise the settlement where necessary. Private Resolve does not provide legal drafting or advice.

Can Private Resolve help if a business owes me money?

Possibly. Personal Debt Recovery may be suitable for an individual seeking an eligible sum from a sole trader or limited company, such as an agreed refund, repayment or returned deposit. A consumer complaint is not automatically an enforceable debt. If the business denies responsibility or disputes the amount, Personal Dispute Resolution may be more appropriate. Suitability is assessed case by case, and recovery is not guaranteed. Read about Personal Debt Recovery.

Is Private Resolve a debt collection agency?

No general debt collection or enforcement service is offered here. Debt-related enquiries are limited to suitable pre-legal negotiation and must pass role and regulatory screening. No debt recovery is guaranteed.

Does Private Resolve provide mediation?

Private Resolve provides negotiation support and does not claim formal ADR accreditation or regulatory approval. We do not impose a decision. If you need formal mediation, check the provider’s credentials and terms.

Can I get legal advice during the process?

Yes. Each party can seek independent legal advice at any stage. Private Resolve does not advise either side on legal rights or whether to accept an offer.

Does contacting Private Resolve stop a legal deadline?

No. A contact or negotiation does not automatically pause limitation periods, court directions or other deadlines. Seek legal advice if time limits may apply.

Are conversations confidential or privileged?

No absolute confidentiality or automatic legal privilege is promised. Any privacy terms, exceptions and information-sharing should be explained before an engagement or meeting.

Where does Private Resolve work?

The service is based in Southampton and considers suitable matters across Hampshire and Southern England. Remote discussions are the default; a neutral hired venue may be arranged for a specific case. No local branch offices are claimed.

What does it cost?

Any proposed fee and terms are explained in writing before an engagement begins. You can decide whether to proceed after reviewing them.

What happens if my matter is unsuitable?

We may explain that the matter falls outside scope and suggest that you seek a solicitor, suitable mediator, regulator or specialist support. We do not provide those services by implication.
